Dat Wii U backlog.

Edit - This was me testing the upload picture function on the GRcade app. Nice.

That does sound nice. You've just reminded me I want to get Shovel Knight.

My Amiibo edition copy of Twilight Princess HD turned up yesterday. Only good times baby.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I noticed it before, just never really thought about using it. It's pretty good app Errkal, well done.

I was talking to my younger nephew (he's eight) and I mentioned that Nintendo are releasing a new console around the time of his birthday. I explained how it worked and he said "that sounds a lot better than the Wii U" ( :x ).

:x .

Can someone explain these Amiibo's to me please

Been so far away from gaming the past year and a bit I've not seen what these are. Or are they just collectiable statues or Nintendo Characters?

Need to unpack my Wii U and get it back up and running at some point, haven't unboxed it since we moved in June 15!

You touch them on the NFC reader of wii u gamepad or New 3DS to unlock stuff link items, costumes, mini games/missions and power ups in select games and some digital things eg animal crossing welcome amiibo update, smash bros u, Mario kart 8 (Mii costumes), Splatoon, Yoshi's wooly world, kirby rainbow paintbrush and others. Best Google what each one does.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Cheers, sound quite a cool feature to have for the consoles. Might have to get a couple in the new year and see what they do.

Need to find a cheap version of Smash Bros, still haven't got the Wii U version yet.

JC, this chart shows all amiibo (figures and cards) for every game, detailing the type of functionality and what they offer in each game.

My favourite is the Pac-Man amiibo offering me a cool Pac outfit for my Mii in Mario Kart 8-) .

I own 5 amiibo and have only ever used one once (yarn yoshi).

Really doesn't seem worth it, I am happier with them as desk and shelf decorations.

 Jawa you helpful little soul you :)

I'll probably get a couple and see what's what. If not they'll make awesome desk decorations at work.

What stopped working? The emulator or the homebrew channel? I had to reset my Wii U when I loaded the emulator last night, as it froze, but it worked fine after that.

The homebrew channel. It no longer loads through the internet and just freezes.
