So... how powerful is the Wii U?

The guy's presentation style is pretty quirky... and I like the ending  .

Oh, man, that sucks. Are you gonna try and get it repaired, dude? I remember that one or two GRcadians sent their Gamepads off to be fixed - not to Nintendo, but to other repairers.

Nintendo Sevice Centre UK - click. Probably the most expensive route... but it's official.

Or... click, click or click. Each of these repair companies provides free quotes and you can give them a call to talk through the problem with your pad.

Or... click. This eBay vendor seems to focus on Wii U repairs and has excellent feedback listed.

Dude, we want to see you back to your most evil on the kart track :toot: .

I'll start with the not-so-good news. I don't think Cars 3: Driven to Win is gonna arrive on Wii U. Warner had suggested that it would but the game is not listed by Argos (who are the exclusive UK retailer of the game on PS4, XBO and Switch) and the Wii U logo has been removed from the official game site. It seems unlikely that Lightning will strike the U :( .

However... the good news is that Darksiders Warmastered really is arriving on the U! It launches 23 May in disc and eShop form. Pricing is TBC but it appears that it could be a reasonable £14.99. It is likely that the eShop will run an offer where, upon purchasing the game, you will then be able to purchase the download version of Darksiders II for around £8. This could be quite an enticing package for U owners :toot: .

I wonder if Warmastered will be the final Wii U game to get a disc release?

It's out today! The rear of the packaging states "Now with hellish HD resolution and 60 FPS"... but I'm not sure that is correct - I believe it is 720p/30 FPS.

Anyone else gonna be trying this out for their U?

Uhm... hello?

I actually might, I got Darksiders 2 in the Humble Bundle a while back and I have a thing about wanting to at least play the original before I play a sequel. The low price of this is pretty tempting too I have to say.

So is this an add-on for the Wii?

Not quite... the Wii U is a Pro Gamepad for the Switch :toot: .

Great stuff, Celer :toot: . Sad to day, but I suspect it really will be the final Wii U game released at retail. Cars 3 was meant to be arriving but the Wii U version now seems to have disappeared from the release schedule.

I'm genuinely a bit sad that the Wii U is going. I think I'll prepare a "send-off" post for this thread tonight.

Definitely a few of VC games that I want on the Wii U. Advance Wars 2, Wario Land 4 etc.

I have yet to get start Paper Mario, Steamworld Collection, FAST, Project Zero, and that's just retail games.

Just need to get my gamepad fixed!

It's quite odd. In the USA the game is coming out for PS4, XBO, Switch, PS3, 360 and Wii U. I don't know why Argos, as the exclusive UK retailer, is not stocking the game for all formats. I'd be keen to get the U version if it was launched here.

This has got me wondering if Wii U is one of those systems people will try and go for a complete collection for. Youtuber Finngamer has been actively doing that throughout the system's lifespan, and I could see more collectors going for it given the smaller than standard library.
