When I had my Switch-related pre-orders setup, the total bill was gonna be around £500. Sure, I could've cut back on some things (i.e. the Zelda amiibo and the additional charger)... but I knew I'd want to get them. In the end I pulled the plug on everything. And ended up with the Avengers Battle for Earth game instead :datass: .

He'll probably start it in 2020, get as far as the first shrine and that'll be it for 20 years.

I've only just seen these posts. You guys   . I did start Zelda BotW and played for about two hours before wandering off from it. I don't really know why :fp: .

Anyway, meanwhile... a new disc game is arriving for the U! Darksiders Warmastered Edition is actually happening and it is due to land on 23 May :o .

I have my pre-order in 8-) :toot: .

Funnily enough, I did exactly the same thing. Played BotW on Wii U for a couple of hours, stopped, and haven't gone back since...

For whatever reason, I just can't bring myself to play it. I don't game much during Spring / Summer, so I probably won't play it now until the Autumn :fp:

 This played on my phone on way to work this morning so I kept it on repeat for a wonderful journey :toot: I might have to put Breath of the Wild on hold to get back into the delight

Yeah, definitely... I will get back to it at some point! I think the main reason I haven't played lots of key Wii U titles is that my TV screen in my living room is pretty small. Stuff like Mario Kart works fine, but the tiny text in games like Zelda and Xenoblade mean that I can't read it when sat on my sofa. I need to upgrade my TV at some point but I'm not really in a rush.

Oh... and there is yet another disc game arriving for the U! :o . Cars 3: Driven to Win is gaining a U version alongside the other formats! There is really no doubt now... Wii U has *too many games* :toot: .

It looks decent albeit I suspect the U version won't necessarily run like that :shifty: .

If only there was some way you could play the game with the screen really close, like in your hands...

I like playing some games on the Gamepad; I completed Thomas Was Alone and Sonc Boom on the 'pad and it worked really well. More complex games with lots of small screen text can be problematic, though; I have to sit around two feet from the big screen to see that BotW and Xenoblade text!

To be honest, Hypes, I didn't give it much of a play on the Gamepad - literally a minute or two. I will re-visit and grant a fairer showing :toot: .
