Yeah, it'll be a while but by all accounts it's rather good and it fills a 2D Metroid hole

It's better than Super Metroid.

It's Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth . It's reasonably uncommon - not "rare" - but you can't buy it from the eShop any more; presumably the licensing agreement has expired.

So you're not buying a switch due to lack of funds but you're buying that... whatever the hell that is.

Axiom Verge is the culmination of twenty plus years of Metroid games. It does way more interesting things within its gameplay.

Resogun is another best in class modern that manages to best all that has come before.

Axiom Verge isn't as good as Super Metroid and I didn't play super Metroid until way after prime, so it ain't nostalgia.
