...and ShopTo has set its price at £19.85!

This deal is recommended by the famous GR tag-team of TWA and Dragon... they wear their Club U badges with pride :toot: .

This is the one "must have" Wii U game missing from my collection...

I guess the one thing that has put me off, is that I've read the whole game takes place on the tablet...

Yeah, the game is pretty much totally focused on the Gamepad, Andy - but, hey, it's nice to have a game that makes great use of the touch screen functionality.

Building on the Lego City Undercover chat in the game's thread... I wonder if the download version of the Wii U game loads any quicker than the disc version? I think the download versions usually load a tiny bit faster (or is that my imagination?) and it'd be interesting to know if there are any benefits for this loading-intensive game.

EDIT: Done a bit of digging and it seems that the download version is *very* slightly faster at loading than the disc version; as in a couple of seconds better during a minute of loading.

Picked up what will most likely be my last Wii U games off eBay this week, both of the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games titles. I've not heard amazing things but I enjoyed them on the Wii and they're usually a laugh with friends so I figured why not. Takes my total Wii U game collection to 30 games, no games my arse

I've not played them, Jamo, but I've read that they're pretty decent for multiplayer action.

You've made me think about the "final" U games. There are still small indie titles arriving in the eShop but I can't think of any other retail releases that are arriving. Allegedly Darksiders Warmastered is on the way but that was meant to arrive last year so I'd be surprised if it turned up. Maybe Zelda Breath of the Wild will be the final retail game? If so, what a way to bow out on!

I'm pretty content with my U collection; I've not fallen prey to trying to buying everything but I have a nice selection. Enough to keep me playing for quite some time :-).

What games are you still looking to pick up, GRcadians?

Ah, Xenoblade - I always forget about that. Yeah, should probably get that too before I switch to Switch :toot:

I think I have 26 Wii U games - more than double the size of my Wii collection - that shows the quality of the Wii U library compared to the Wii.

There are a lot of hidden gems and forgotten greats on the Wii, Andy! But, yes, I'd recommend grabbing Xeno Chronicles X for the U. I've barely played it but by most accounts it really pushes the U technically as well as being a huge adventure to tackle.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a copy of Paper Mario Color Splash, but only I can get it for a low price.

Paper Mario didn't review too well though, did it?

As for the Wii library - apart from the obvious games - Mario, Zelda etc, there was simply nothing on the system which appealed to me...I got a Wii on launch day and I only have a total of 11 games:

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros Wii
Super Mario All Stars
Mario Kart Wii
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Pikmin (New Play Control)
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Resident Evil 4
Kirby Epic Yarn

Yeah, it gained a favourable verdict overall - standing at 76% on Metacritic.

There are many hidden gems, Andy - it may be worth checking out GRcade's favourite Wii games if you're looking for something to play on the wee machine.

I wasn't mega impressed with colour splash, it was alright but the card thing bugged the crap out of me and I kept ballsing when to use special cards in boss fights and would have to just die to try again.

Colour Splash is an underrated gem of the Wii U. I absolutely love it.

If anyone tells you combat is pointless and you should avoid it, ignore them. They don't have a clue what they're talking about.

Crumbs. The wonder of different preferences and opinions! :) . To be honest, I think I'd only pick it up if I saw it going for a cheap price. It looks kinda decent but I'm not sure if I'd be inclined to spend too much time learning the structures.

You can see hidden items on the TV screen, so if you can learn to use your hands and use the TV screen at the same time you're in a good place.

It can be good fun working out the puzzles and finding the bit you need to proceed and things, and there is certainly great sense of humour in there, but for me the combat got tedious and I didn't everything I could to avoid it.

It also looks really cool, it is beautifully made as you would expect from Nintendo.

The thing with avoiding combat is that you then never get the items you need to increase your paint limit, and a higher paint limit is absolutely vital in the late game.

I only did the first 2 or 3 paint stars I think before the card thing drove me to insanity, I may pick it up again on the cheap at some point. I was playing it when I didn't have masses of time and was super tired from baby so that may not have helped :D

*Massive* Club U update

> I've got a new game for my Wii U collection
> I bought it second-hand (which I never usually do because I am incredibly fussy about condition) from GAME (my first in-store purchase in about four years!)
> I'm really pleased to have placed this universally well-regarded title onto my shelf :toot:

It's Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth  :fp: . It's reasonably uncommon - not "rare" - but you can't buy it from the eShop any more; presumably the licensing agreement has expired.
