I have just been through all the posts up until yours.

1 person mentioned the 19 titles
0 mentioned JT apart from you

Are you trying to get Man Utd fans to argue with you? Are you looking for an argument?

In fact your first two posts

In fairness, he said people previously slated JT (which they did). He also said that people have said 'I don't care' and 'none of my business', which you have ignored.

And it is true that Man U fans here have reacted far less to this than to JT (with some exceptions), but then that's just the nature of football fans!

In Fairness Chelsea fans also reacted far less to JT than this. Swings and roundabouts.

I wasn't that bothered by the JT thing but was annoyed with Ashley Cole for obvious reasons.

but it seems jamcc is looking for an argument.

As a long time Giggs fan I am horrified, more so about this news than the one before.

Anyone else thinking he/Fergie may call time on his career because of all this gooseberry fool?

Is he going to want to put up with absolute dogs abuse in every away game in his final season?

Wouldn't be surprised if he packed it in now to be honest, although it would be shame for such a great player to end his illustrious career under such a dark cloud.

I've always hated the idea of athletes retiring not because their time has gone but because of stuff like politics concerning their reputation, makes them look spineless for a lack of a better word. Then again considering what the fans are like in this sport I can understand why the would be need for early retirement.

Again you can't really defend a man who pretty much betrays the trust of his entire family.

Yeah that's my take on it. Imogen was bad but we have heard it all before with football players.

But to betray your family!

Sorry Giggs but you will lose a lot of support now.

Y'all should be slating the bitches Giggs been sleeping with too. What kind of a wife sleeps with her husbands brother? Look at the excuses these silly sluts are using "o he was relentless, he just wanted to shag me, i couldn't resist, i loved him", strawberry floating pathetic bints. Giggs is a dick, should have just slept around and told everyone, but these women who are sleeping with him and blaming it all on him are just sluts

Erm, no two people mentioned the 19 titles. Look again. And at least Denster said it was none of his business if not a couple of other people too.

My SPotY comment was a joke and a reference to the fact that he didn't deserve it the year he won it (he didn't).

My JT comment is justified because when that news came out everyone in the football thread was saying how he's worse than Bin Laden and Hitler combined and yet Giggs does something much, MUCH worse and no one kicks up a fuss.

Let's compare JT's and Gigg's affairs shall we?

I think sleeping with a family member's partner is beyond reproach quite frankly. Of all the woman in the world to have an affair with, you choose your brother's wife. That's so strawberry floating low.

I think the reason JT got more heat was that he was England captain and rightly or wrongly was supposed to be squeaky clean.

What Giggs has done is much worse but as a non-England player less people care.

Edit: What I really mean is (now it is a more reasonable hour), as an England player most football fans had a stake in the Terry news. Whilst England were struggling for form he was seen to be screwing over a team mate.

For United fans, as much as the Giggs revelations are much worse, it doesn't really matter so much as the team have over achieved on the pitch. For me, as a more casual United fan, I think he should probably retire at this point.

It makes the SPotY award seem very odd now. It was basically given to him for being the ultimate professional and a role model. Whilst you can't doubt his work ethic, these allegations have pretty much shattered his moral standing. He should probably hand the award over to whoever finished runner up that year.

I don't think it is really a case of Man Utd fans vs Chelsea. All football fans seem united (excuse the pun) in condeming his behavior.

Would Giggs have won that award after these revelations were made? Massively unlikely. But when nominations are released how much attention is given to their personal life? Very little indeed. Giggs won the award because of his achievements in the game, you cannot ask him to give it back because other people made assumptions about his personal life and then placed him on a pedestal.

I hated John Terry the moment he said LOL I Was a massive Manchester United fan growing up but Chelsea offered me a free kit if I joined them so I went with Chelsea AREN'T I A CHEEKY CHAPPY? So I relished sticking the boot into him whenever possible, and loved the stories about his personal life and loved it even more when Bridge decided to not shake hands with him. That's where the difference in reaction stems from. I always hated Terry and his actions (btw, you left out how he -according to Sunday Supplement on Sky Sports- abused his England -and Chelsea- captaincy by making money off it on the side) just added fuel to that fire. I never hated Giggs and it's true most United fans haven't been as vitriolic as they were to Terry but that isn't because we approve of his behaviour. Had some lesser Manchester United player done the same no doubt you'd see more people slating him. Not saying that's right, just that that is how it is.
