So spyglass is like this game's camera?

This is looking fantastic, and I love that zoomer design! In fact all the vehicles are looking very cool, especially with the customisation.

The seamless scale still seems mindblowing

Looks a bit ropey, any idea when this releases?

It's ages away, not even confirmed platform(s). I wouldn't be surprised on it being next gen

Outside of the scale, which is amazing, there are bits that look dodgy. The models looks super low res stand-ins, for example.

No where near a finished state going by what has been shown. Honesty, I'm kind of surprised about how open Ubisoft has been with this through the dev process.

The thing about this is that it seems to have pretty much zero gameplay similarities with the original, so I'm not sure I should be anticipating it based on how I enjoyed that game.

Yeah it doesn't seem to share much at all with the original. I'm still interested but combat looks ropey as strawberry float in that video.

It does share the world though, which was really cool in the original, and looks very interesting and expanded here

True the world is a huge part of the equation.

The problem I'm having so far is that I am becoming less interested the more they show of the actual gameplay. Is there a release date for this yet? If they still have plenty of time to go then I'm not too worried but what has been shown so far seems quite wonky and lacking in both imagination and refinement (gameplay-wise).

As said they haven't even announced platforms yet, it's probably ages away from even getting a release date

I assume not fitting with Ubisoft's future ambitions means it doesn't have enough ways they can monetize it

Not surprising at all with all those years of silence.

Such a shame though this had so much potential and had alot of hype going into it.

Yeah not surprising especially since Ancel's less-than-graceful departure. Still a massive disappointment though - just another chapter in the long wait for a sequel :(

Beyond Good and Evil 2 creative director Emile Morel has died, aged 40. He was also lead designer on Rayman Legends.

I don't think this game is ever going to get released.

Awful news, 40 is no age at all

I’m surprised this hasn’t just been cancelled outright away at this point

Yeah 40 is too young :(

I don't know if this game will ever come out - it seems unlikely - but it'd be nice to point at another game or parts of other games and see their origin in all the tech stuff that has been shown. Maybe they already exist and I just don't know it!

Was a remaster for the first game ever announced? Because the achievements just leaked for one.

Probably at The Game Awards but it looks like Xbox owners can play it now?
