Yep, this and Star Citizen look exactly like the kind of games I've always wanted. This does sound very ambitious for such a small team so I'll try and keep my expectations reasonable...but spaceships.

Yeah this looks awesome. I'm hoping it provides the same sense of exploration I got from the original Metroid Prime only on a much grander scale

I thought this looked fantastic but I'm sceptical that just four guys can pull it off. The moment when he got in the ship and flew into space was just incredible

Looks good. Reminds me of a cross between Elite and a game called terminal velocity which I used to play on PC eons ago.

4 people though. Seems like a lot for such a small team.

I wonder if you could just spend your entire time playing running about on one planet, and if so, how detailed will that planet be? I mean, I know we get seas and woods and ruins, but is any of it going to have any bearing on the plot? Do we make up the plot, is that procedural too?

I love the idea of salvaging long-forgotten wrecks on distant planets.

It had been a while since the Dead Island trailer so pretty good that this came along and reminded us that hype can be generated based on absolutely nothing other than a flashy video.

Not sure how you can even start to compare the two, or suggest this trailer has nothing of substance to it. :?

I think I'd like to scale my hype back a bit, I mean this could be another Spore for all we know. Still though, the premise is there, the potential is there in spades, the trailer was gameplay-oriented and not a meaningless flashy video, these guys seem to have a good lot of talent and I wanna play.

This looks incredibly interesting and pretty ambitious for such a small team. I really hope it turns out to be something pretty special.

I think he's mistaken this thread for the one of the new zombie game by the Dead Island dev  I hope.

Dying Light thread

Great trailer, it's made me very interested in seeing more of it. Hopefully the actual game part of it is as good.

Difference being that the Dead Island trailer was CGI and was done by an outside company, whereas this trailer is all in-game footage recorded and cut together by one of the devs.

Looks very interesting. Wasn't amazingly blown away by the trailer, but from that and the interview with one of the devs I'll be keeping an eye on this.

I'm also pretty chuffed that VGX chose to showcase a new Indie title. It's fantastic that anything made by a four-man team can get that kind of early exposure on something as mainstream (In gaming terms at least) as VGX. Good on them. More of this please.

I love, love, love the fact that next year's big resurgence seems to be the Space Sim. Always one of my favourites back in the day.
