There is some odd voting thing taking place on that live stream right now. A, B or C. Hmmn...

Edit: And now the Internet is trying to work together to guide a hamster through a maze  .

Edit: This looks like it is going to take a *long* time :dread: .

Has there been a Twitch Plays No Man's Sky yet? Because that would be amazing.

Ooh! Just taken another look and the hamster has nearly reached a gold chest :o . This has gotten exciting :toot: .

Edit:"Maze item 2 of 4 located". I'll come back to it in a few hours :dread: .

Edit: I wonder if the completed orange side of the Rubik's Cube means anything...

That is the wankiest thing I've read in a long time. It's a game Sean.

None of this gooseberry fool about hamsters says whether or not I can turn on anti aliasing without the framerate collapsing or whether I can play for more than 10 minutes without a save and not have panic attacks about the incoming crash.

I'm keen to download this update; the two main previous patches were excellent. I wonder how the portals will work and where they'll be located?

I think I found one portal structure during my time playing. So my guess is it'll be down to luck if you encounter one on a planet.

I dunno, Saint... I wouldn't have thought there would be any portals in place until the update hits? I'm pretty excited about this expansion as it could be the driver to get me back into the game :) .

Thinking back to when I was first playing the game, there were definitely portal-like structures in or around the ruins, so they're probably going to "activate" them.

I've still got this installed on my PS4 but I haven't touched it in such a long time, waaay before the updates started coming. Don't know if I'll ever give it another chance...

If NMS highlighted anything at all it was how vile, toxic and embarrassingly childish the brunt of the online games community is.

As for the game itself it's my go to title for chilling out.

I think it more highlighted the lesson "Don't make gooseberry fool up that isn't in your game and insist it is there right up to launch day before going totally silent while people ask for answers"

Well yes, that too. Still, death threats over a strawberry floating video game? :fp:

Agreed.

This is a common misconception... Hello Games kept the news section of the NMS website fully up-to-date with what they were working on, patch info and release dates. It's just that many media sites just posted articles along the lines of "LOL I can't see other playerz and Sean no speak WTF?!?!".

Such a great game on release and gets better with each update.

I hope the portals allow for travel to any planet that has them. because at the moment, the teleports only work between space station and home base. So my home base is on an early planet of gold while I warp onwards and keep teleporting back for more gold.

I haven't even played the other 2 patches yet! Hoping to get back into the game with this one. I wonder whether it makes sense to start a whole new game, or whether everything will just naturally fall into my (15 hours-ish) game in progress.
