Just completed my first hard mode VoG, got Fatebringer too

Cheers for the raid tonight guys. We'll get that Hard VoG finished tomorrow. What did everyone prefer with the boss? All of us at the bottom or the four up the top tactic?

I really don't mind either way. It seemed easier all at the bottom. Maybe a mix of Sniper Rifles and Void Rockets?!

anyone on tonight then who isn't raiding up for some weekly heroic and nightfall action.I have a mate who is in so just need one more. Also anyone got any tips on taking on the Archon Priest, two of us gave it a go yesterday and it's blood hard.

The guys I completed it with yesterday stayed in the little opening where you first drop down into the area, so you're behind a wall. The priest doesn't seem to walk around the wall so you're safe from him, can can just pop out and snipe him, just need to be careful of the captains and vandals running toward you.

I'm not sure why we kept hitting the enrage timers. Does anyone have any advice on how to do the Timekeeper fella in VoG on Hard? We were all over levelled but just kept on hitting the enrage timer for some reason.

I think it's perhaps a question of weapon strength. Personally, on hard, it's surely got to be 331 or bust.

Do you mean the Templar? I did it with a group on Sunday who were a lot more experienced than me, and we just had 1 guy go down with the relic and fight the adds, while the rest stayed up top to snipe the Oracles and the Templar when his shield was down. I'm not sure if our relic holder was particularly good or if it's straightforward enough to survive down there alone.

And yeah I think all the group had 331 snipers, either Icebreaker or the one that drops from the Crota raid.

Yeah I'm sure akai has said in this thread weapons need to be maxed. I'm hitting him for 2940 or just under 4k with weapons of light with ice breaker.
