I'm just shy of 100 hours play time. I haven't done a raid or Nightfall yet, but I've got to level 30. I hardly get any Ascendant materials so topping up the Legendaries is tough, so I guess it's time to get in on a Raid, it seems that throws stuff at you! Works been crazy along with general life, so haven't been able to commit for a Raid, plus no one else I know has stuck with it! I should have more time in the next few weeks, so if anyone feels like carrying a noob one day let me know!
Fuzzy, I've pretty much bought all my legendary gear - all my armour is via the Future War Cult via the Crucible. I've had a single Legendary Primary Weapon drop in all that time (The Calling - Scout Rifle). It actually dropped a second time, which has to be some of kind of piss take! Nothing Legendary has randomly dropped via the Crucible (FWC level 4 now, Vanguard level 2, gonna get that to 3 next, desperate for an Auto Rifle!). Got a Legendary Helmet via Xur using Coins and that's been it. Murmur, my legendary Fusion rifle was via the Expansion Story and the Trolley Problem was waiting for me after I left the game for a week (a legendary a week for not playing, faster than I'm getting them via playing
). Got some other Legendary gloves via the Crota bounty.
I can see how people are put off by this. Playing Diablo, I was constantly switching my gear as new stuff dropped. In the Crucible, it seems I am always killed by Golden Gun, Vex Mythoclast and Suros Regime. That must account for 80% of my deaths. It's no Borderlands for gun variety! Oddly I find this game strangely addictive, like my old boosting achievement days, doing things like using the Public events tracker and working through the Urzok the Hated bounty.
