I have said hi in a few other threads but figured I would give it the proper Hello here.

I am kerr9000, I have come across in the wave of SONM users but I have been about all over the place online pretty much always using the kerr9000 name. I have had podcasts a youtube channel a blog or two. I am heavily into my retro games with a particular love of the 16bit era. I am also in to horror films and movies in general. I tend to comment the most on retro stuff but I hope to join up here and earn my keep so to speak in posting and getting involved in stuff as much as I can.

Yep, like Kerr, i said my hellos elsewhere here.

But yeah, i'm the guy formerly known as D.J, who was an ONM'er (and SONM'er) since it first began in 2006 (i was the ONM board's highest ever poster, though that's probably not something to be proud of). I enjoy F1, PS4 games, and i travel around a lot filming stuff for youtube. I also have a keen interest in collecting coins... Oh sod it, i am a complete and utter coin freak, and my youtube channel's collecting playlist demonstrates that.

Hi there.

I was on ONM and active there for a good while, however I later moved on. When NONM closed down, I then signed up to SONM and promptly forgot about it, only remembering about it when the "Thank You For Everything" email a couple of days ago. It's been a while since I've been active on any forums, so I thought I'd give you guys a chance to scare me off.

I enjoy video games, board games and choosing the worst option at every opportunity ironically. I've recently bought a PS4 and am currently swearing at wyverns while I try to beat them to death with a set of bagpipes.

That sounds like my kind of game. May I ask which it is?

Monster Hunter: World. It's fun and good to play with friends. The Hunting Horn (Bagpipes) is like trying to beat a dinosaur to death with a spoon, however. But if you're in a group with friends then you're a godsend as you can buff them all at once.

Bagpipes are good. Any Monster Hunter game I've played is eeehhhh. I wonder if World is better?

World is a big change for the series, it has many quality of life improvements and is a lot more accessible than any of the previous games.

I have always been a big Monster Hunter fan though so I can't speak much for how it changes the experience for someone who has never got into them before. But it certainly is being played by a much bigger audience this time!

Monster Hunter 3 was a drag to get into. But it's a pretty deep game with little had holding. It's obviously best enjoyed online. I feel maybe I never gave it much of a chance because it was free on 3DS.

Plus you collect so much gooseberry fool it's hard to know what to do with it. At least the inventory is comprehensive and you get loads of space.

How do I post a new thread? I clicked on advice & new topic doesn’t appear when it did before.

You have to make a few posts before certain features unlock. It's an anti-spam measure.
