There have been a couple of sign ups, but nothing posted. Maybe it would be worth seeing if GG can add a link to here in the account confirmation page so once someone signs up they get a link right to here to say hi.

That's a good idea. Make it easier for people to join in right away.

Not really feasible technically but it would be cool if there was an autosuggest for some topics to post in.

There is an email that goes out after activation isn't there? That template could be updated to include them, ooooor for the page you get when you have activated, update that code to show suggested topics and stuff rather than having it auto re-load with a "take me to the forum" link at the bottom that dumps them out to root if they dont want to go to one of the suggesteds.

Yes that's another thing that can easily be made better, I might be able to switch them to html format and male them pretty too / brand them. Good shout. Completely forgot about the email templates, they can all be changed.
