Yeah, the last thing somebody would want is a load of their old friends congratulating them.

He definitely saw the thread as well and said thanks to me for posting it in a twitter om

Well yeah he probably did.

Team felt that was an empathetic act, so disagreements are inevitable.

Why would I go there, when GR has gems like this from 2009?

I hate to agree with you, but it's bloody true. I have to collect jobseekers due to the sheer lack of jobs in my area at the moment (before you say, i've applied to so many different jobs over the past few months, but now there's like one new job cropping up every week). Every other week when I sign on, there must be about 4-5/20 people who are not from Eastern Europe. Not being racist in the slightest, but our country is in an economic downfall, shouldn't we be looking after our own citizens and british people more than the Eastern Europeans who just come in this country and do bugger all.

The immagration system in this country is a joke, we should have a system like Australia where to move here you need to be qualified in a proffesion and prove that you can sustain a living.

I think in the last thread you bought it up we both agreed that I was a strawberry floating moron and likely still am, but I've changed a hell of a lot since then. I was in a dark place back then and I definitely regret the fact I ever thought like that. Thanks for bringing that up again Moggy, I was just joking about the Creg thing but thanks anyway.

Pretty sure I must have posted something utterly moronic at some point but I really can't remember what it was.

Moggy will definitely find something now I've said that.

I don’t think I regret specific content I’ve posted as much as I regret being terminally online during my late teens when I should have been going outside.

Nowadays I’m lucky if I have a couple hours at night to spam forums so it all works out.

You started a website about getting old when you were what, 29?

29 probably felt very old back then to have a video game forum populated by teenagers.

Sorry but if you want to keep doing the "haha Moggy go and search for some posts" thing, then you only have yourself to blame if I take you up on the offer.

For what it's worth, I agree the past is the past. What you were then is not what you are now. But don't poke the bear. :P

I found some strawberry floating horrific things in my post history recently. 2000s edge lord humour has a lot to answer for. Cheers to Skarjo for getting rid of some of it. I'm sure there's more but please don't go looking etc etc.

Around that time, I think there was a big gap between the forumites who were hitting their mid to late twenties and the forumites still in their teens. "30ish" doesn't feel old to any of us now but I get why some of the relatively-older members might have felt it at the time!

We all do. We were young and the 2000s were a time of terrible "edgy" humour.
