I got excited when I saw The Flash was on there, but it only has the last few episodes. Same with the most recent series of The Walking Dead. Seems there's a lot of good stuff on the boxed sets disappearing at the end of next month too :|

Yeah they don't stay up forever. Is why I have plex for most of that sort off thing as I like to watch stuff at my pace and when I want and these services never quite work for me.

No, however you will get hassled. We had only been in our new place for a week without an aerial before someone came round!

You only need a license to watch live BBC and as iplayer is not live it would be fine. However they will hassle alot and so it is probably easier to pay it as it isn't much of a cost.

The itv player app streams live it so I'm not sure if that will effect it as I don't know if the rule is no live tv or no live BBC.

It's not just BBC. You need a license if you watch/record/stream ANY live TV from ANY channel.

Ahhh in which case you can't use ITV player without a licence as it has the ability to live stream. As has nowtv with the sky entertainment or sports packs.

It's not about what it can do, it's about how you use it. As long as you don't actually watch live TV you don't have to pay the licence. I told them I only watch catch up stuff and I don't need to pay.

Started on John Oliver with this now too :D issues with the update seem to be resolved and it's working like a charm again.

There's so much to watch it's just a bit disappointing not all of it hangs around.

I feel a Hannibal rematch coming on soon though.

There's a referral deal on at the moment whereby if you use a friends referral link you both get a £10 voucher. If anyone's interested let me know and I'll fire them my referral link.

For anyone using NowTV and getting buffering issues for no reason I would recommend doing this

Using the Now TV box remote, press the following buttons in order:

Home Button 5 times
FF 1 time
Play 1 time
RW 1 time
Play 1 time
FF 1 time

In the menu that appears select 'Disable network pings'

I also changed another setting but I can't remember the name but it has cleared my issues and the video quality is now firmly pegged at full none of that low quality crap as it gets going.

Is it possible to get Now TV in the form of an app on a smart TV, or must I buy the separate Now TV box? I've got a subscription as part of my mobile phone tariff, but watching things on my phone isn't quite good enough for me.

If you have an LG Smart TV, otherwise you will need a NowTV box, PS3 or 4, Xbox One or 360, AppleTV, Roku, YouView box (movies only), Chromecast or EETV box.

If you want Live and on-demand in High Definition (720p) though AppleTV is currently your only option, otherwise it's SD for Live streaming, 720p for on-demand.

Seems a faff to watch Justified. I'm going to upgrade my TV so will look at LG, thanks.

Just now I threatened to cancel my movies subscription on the Now TV website, ticked the "it costs too much" option and I was given 4 months at £4.99 per month :D :toot:

Yes I saw this on HotUKDeals ;)

Edit: it doesn't wipe out any days remaining for the month on your current subscription either.

I've been half considering Now TV but think I'll wait to see how good the new box is.

Sky really are screwing over their existing customers who do nothing.
