Not sure if Guiseppe did his best work in the final, but he was definitely the most talented baker in the tent overall. So probably deserves it.

Thought for sure it would be Chigs going by the final alone, but I think Giuseppe is probably the more deserving winner if you look at the series overall.

Would have loved for Jurgen to make it to the final, but I'm made up for Giuseppe. Definitely the most deserving of the final three.

Deserving winner. Might not have been the best on the day but he was the best overall for sure.

One of the few seasons where there wasn't a clear standout winner going into the final. If Crystelle hadn't foccacia'd up then even she could've won it.

Though I wish the "banter" between Noel and Matt would go away. Just always seems off, or perhaps just generally unfunny?

Fully agreed. I've never got on with Noel's sense of humour, and I don't think the two of them gel together very well.

I actually found Noel much more bearable in his first couple of seasons, but this year he's just gone batshit zany and it's not working. I think he wants the show to be a Might Boosh style comedy vehicle, but that's not really the point of the show.

So it seems it wasn't just me that didn't watch this last year.

Watching this season though. Anyone else? Think Dan was very lucky to survive this week.

I’ve watched a few episodes, it’s been ok so far. Not a patch on some previous years though.

I watched last year's, although I probably didn't post much about it here because I watched most of it on catch up at the time.

I'm enjoying this year's competition. Agree that Dan was lucky to make it through. I reckon any more curry flavours in his bakes and that might be the end unless they're utterly amazing.

Matty winning star baker was a surprise too, and I'm now less sure about who is going through to the final. I'd written him off previously, but now any of them could go through, and probably any of them could go in the semi.

I want either Tash or Dan to win, honestly.
