Nikkei Net says New Super Mario Bros. Wii has now sold 10 million units worldwide. The milestone was reached in around 8 weeks. This makes it the fast selling individual format title to 10 million.

Japan sales have reached 3 million according to Enterbrain. North America sales are over 4.5 million and Europe sales are approaching 3 million.

Damn. And even I haven't bought it.

Not surprising really . It's a brilliant game . Reminds me of the good old games of the 80's and 90's .

I've no doubting the quality of the title but like the DS iteration before it, I just cant get excited :fp:

I think the lovely red box has a lot to do with it.

I know it says it's the fastest individual format, but how does this compare to MW2? I had no idea any game had sold so much so fast.

I would rather have quality games rather than poorer ones that make more money, as a consumer. The days Of Zelda OOT and Mario 64 seems so very far away now.

There's little point in making remarks like that when we have very little idea of what else Nintendo has in store for us this year. Zelda Wii, Metroid: Other M and Mario Galaxy 2 are unknown quantities of unknown qualities, and that's just three of what we know is coming.

And when NSMBWii is a brilliant old-fashioned non-minigame non-fitness game. You whinging bast.

NSMB is a great game if you have friends to play with.

I played it on my own and still had great fun with it

I replayed the whole thing with 2 friends, collecting the star coins and had an evern better time, mind. I tried it in 4 player once and it was a disaster, though. 3 is the magic number.

Well deserved.
