Who are Oats Studios? | Neill Blomkamp has directed feature films such as District 9, Elysium, and Chappie, but you won’t be able to see his latest films in a theater. His next project is Oats Studios, an experimental film venture that he’s using to produce a number of sci-fi short films, which will be released online.Oats Studios makes experimental short films, a testing ground for ideas and creativity leading to full scale feature films based on ideas created here.

Saw a few of us are watching these, new one came out yesterday with Sharlto Copley as god
Funny (but dark) little watch.
Firebase is a must for anyone new to these.

Loved that (really short) short, Sharlto makes a great God.
Shame it wasn't a few minutes longer, would liked to have seen where that could have gone.

You missed one:
Haven't liked the 3 minute ones as much, thought the God one quite unoriginal unlike the longer films. Firebase and Rakka are quite excellent though.

The Cooking With Bill shorts are so strawberry floated up. A bit predictable, but still horrifying. I bet BlompKamp could make a fantastic SCP movie/shorts based upon some of the more interesting/disturbing SCP entries.

New one. Seems to be a test run for full CGI films but, er, it looks pretty awful. I like the content though!

Nice idea but yeah the CGI was atrocious. I guess budgets can only stretch so far.

The only obvious bit of CGI was the explosion at the end, I'm struggling to see any other terrible CGI in there at all.

I didn't actually, at least not the first time I watched it.
Watched it again in fullscreen and I still didn't immediately realise that it was entirely CGI, probably because of the grain filter and other post processing effects going on.
Edit: was watching it in 420p, switched to 1080p and it was immediately obvious.
