Odd (But Innocent!) Habits - Got Any?

If I have lots of rubbish (food wrappers) I like to fold them down and fit them inside each other then put them inside of an empty bottle, can, milk bottle or yoghurt pot. Almost like a Russian Doll but full with rubbish.

It’s sort of a tidiness thing and less to carry to the bin, or so I tell myself :slol:

I do this as well - it's partly why I do the triangle fold with crisp packets and things. They slot very pleasingly into one another!

I do this, although I just have stubble as opposed to a proper beard. There's normally a load of ever-so-slightly longer hairs in amongst the regulars that are just asking for it. Little bastards.

I never cut my finger/toenails. Instead I rip them off and then leave the not-clippings in little piles around the house.

Like little cairns of keratin.

I may be guilty of this one as well. I either rip with my fingers or bite/pull them with my teeth. :shifty:

I think the last time my nails would have been properly cut would have been when I was a child and my parents did it!

I used to be a nail biter and honestly cutting and filing your nails properly is a meditative experience that really chills you out, I can see how women can spend hours doing it

I don't bite my nails I just idly pick at them. The constant "tk, tk, tk" is probably one of the many reasons my wife left me.

I do get comments about picking at my toe nails whilst in bed, it could already be too late for us!

Semi related but I pick all the skin, often down to the bleeding flesh, on my thumbs when I'm stressed. I don't even know I'm doing it half the time as it doesn't hurt after doing it most of my life.

If I'm alone I often make weird noises or beatbox (badly), occasionally I'll do it when someone else is around and get funny looks.

+1 for the noisy crowd.

I during the day at work I make little fanfare/ trumpet /Jazz /Sax solos - no idea why.

When I'm at home or with family (at their houses) I lick plates clean. I don't like wasting food. I wouldn't do it outside but who cares.

I bite my nails and I’ve had this weird habit since I was a kid of chewing the knuckles on my index and middle fingers the consequence of which is they are almost always horribly callused. I keep trying to stop doing it but I can never seem to manage it.
