Personally I love WRC, it’s just a pain to watch if you don’t pay for WRC+, BT Sport show some stages live but even that’s lacking somewhat, more annoying is when I go to record the highlights to watch when I can and when I load them up they’ve fobbed off the Rally in favour of Baseball or something.

Rally X is well worth a watch if you can. Probably the most exciting motorsport I've watched and the races are nearly always fantastic.

Rally Cross is just crazy  very fun to watch every now and then but I don’t think I could sit down and watch it for a couple of hours like I do with F1, WRC, WEC to name a few. Never could get on with the cars in DiRT Rally, they didn’t seem to be fun to drive on tarmac or dirt.

I can see why he’s annoyed, it’s not like they’re a lap down due to a major crash from one of their drivers, it’s a recurring error on the organisers side, that they don’t want to seem to address as they’d have to criticise who ever hosts the servers or the makers of the game (I have no idea who hosts the servers for such an event) despite the fact it’s happened each year they’ve hosted this, well I think it’s happened each year.

Porsche teaming up with Williams....?

https://old.reddit.com/r/formula1/comme ... m_post_it/

So recently Porsche deleted all their Formula E posts on Instagram and left this as the only post on their account.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CncbbETjBkj

I thought they might leave some hint in there so I went back and looked at every single frame of the video.

I noticed this frame repeats several times and appears to vaguely show a face.
Image

And I thought it looked strangely familiar, because it is, it's Frank Williams wearing headphones.

Image

So confirmation Porsche and Williams are teaming up!

Could be the financial and technical boost Williams need to get back into the midfield at least.
Though I worry about the potential for Porsche to just absorb the team over time.
Would be sad to see the name disappear from F1.

Eurogamer getting a cheeky dig in at Verstappen.

https://www.eurogamer.net/f1-champion-m ... -to-retire

While the situation improved and the race ran without interruption after the first seven hours, multiple teams were hit with disconnects that put them out of contention - including Verstappen's own Team Redline who had been battling for overall honours. Having retired the team, Verstappen delivered a short but powerful outburst live on-stream.

"They call it amazingly bad luck, well this is just incompetence. They can't even control their own game," said the two-time F1 world champion who has taken part in all three runnings of the event. "This is also the last time ever because what's the point? You prepare for five months to try and win this championship, you are leading the championship, you try to win this race which you have prepared for two months and they handle it like this. Honestly, it is a joke. You cannot even call it an event. It's a clown show."

Verstappen - who's perhaps new to the concept of a championship being taken away from him by events outside of his control - continued his rant.

"I really hope the organisers consider where they put this game going forward because on this platform it's not going to work. It's game over. I think I have more chance if I just go to Vegas and the casino.

Gorgeous :datass:

The lack of matte makes it pop so much more too, wish the F1 team would take note, I actually really liked their liveries up until about 2014.

Confirmation it’ll be a 23 race calendar this year for F1, also means there will nearly be a month long gap between Australia and Azerbaijan, for then Miami to be a week later :fp:

At some point they need to design the schedule in a way which geographically makes sense.

The amount of unnecessary air miles they’ll rack up is ridiculous just because races will pay a bit more to have the races when they want (well I assume this is what its mainly down to, money) rather than a much more logical way to take the sport around the world. Obviously there is the odd exception where weather comes into play but the vast majority could be organised a lot better.

Edit, this is the ridiculous journey the teams will undertake :dread:

I'm rewatching the 2002 season such a simple calendar back then compared to the mess of the over-bloated seasons we have had recently.

I'd be fine with 20+ races if most of the tracks were good but sadly a lot are just shite with these massive cars.
