Genuinely not sure how many more new, generic street tracks I can stomach before just watching F1 at the tracks I actually enjoy. Can't actually make out if this track is coming onto the calendar this year in place of Circuit de Catalunya or not either? Just seems odd they'd give a made up time (assuming it's based on the 2023 cars?) if its not going to be raced at till the new regulations are in place.

Rapidly approaching 1/3 of the calendar as street tracks now :dread: This will only increase before Liberty sell up as well.

I’m not sure I get the reasoning behind this. Barcelona is a decent track, it’s a good location, in a city that is glamorous

Seemingly so few race series can avoid street tracks, even the last endurance race on the 2024 GT World Challenge calendar is round Jeddah

Skipped through this earlier, good session although I did enjoy seeing the drivers struggle on cold tyres, can’t wait for the day F1 have phased them back out.

The Madrid track is on the calendar from 2026, unless they massively outbid Barcelona for 2025, which I can see happening sadly.

Visa Cash App RB….

Don’t think it’s a worse name than the new Alfa Romeo team to be honest.

I get that they wanted to be seen as tough guys, but isn't this taking things a bit far?

https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/japanese-gp-f1-street-race-osaka-suzuka/

Absolutely just F off, like seriously. Liberty would lap yet another street track up as well so if Suzuka only gets a couple of years extension on its contract I’ll be worried.

Edit, also seen that Leclerc has signed an extension with Ferrari, rumoured to be till the end of 2026 which is sensible I guess, he's not going to get in elsewhere before the new regs and this way he can see how everyone starts the new rules. I can't help but wonder if he has a bit of Stockholm syndrome with Ferrari though

WRC gets underway this weekend too.
