Not that it should really make much difference I suppose, but I wonder if the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy strategy guide was compiled using the PlayStation 1 games.

I suspect so, KK - there are no screen shots in it although it does feature a couple of (black and white) images of the "new" Crash. The tips seem to be applicable to either version, though.

Makes sense for the audience this magazine is aimed at, but it doesn't reflect the game I played at all.

What is your perception of the magazine's audience, HSH?

A 6 for Rime is ridiculous.

Hard to judge without reading the review - it depends what they are trying to convey with the score. It's a game with quite a niche appeal, and it's very reliant on the player being familiar with the language of action-adventure games. I could see it being scored down for that.

I never worry too much about scores now; it's personal opinion. I like to read lots of reviews and I'm interested in what people think about a game, but it's not to say that our views will tie up.

I can understand why HSH and Chalkie disagree with the overall mark as they hugely enjoyed Rime. As a parallel, OPM awarded Mad Max a 7 whereas I'd give it a 9 (at least :shifty: ). Different views!

I'm not sure what audience it has, but I'd say its aimed at a mainstream gaming market. The COD and Fifa crowd.
