No GTS review? Being the official mag you'd have thought it would be a priority.

Athough the mag sports the official title and logo, it's produced entirely by Future outside of Sony and rarely gets the first review. Timings mean that it'll have to wait for the next issue in late November now!

It's very rare they have a review before launch these days, and exclusive reviews haven't featured for years.

With so many games having large online components now it's also difficult to do it properly prior to launch. For example if GT Sport online was broken at launch, the whole game practically falls to pieces. 'Well it worked when we reviewed it in our closely controlled environment! 9/10!'

I rarely if ever buy games on release these days so OPM's delayed set-up works perfectly for me, though I'm not sure if that's true of the majority of their readers.

They've introduced a new section where they pretty much review a game and say if it's worth buying but without a score, either because they haven't had enough time with it or because it's unfinished code.

The sequel was a load of shite (incredibly funny though; 'that brass has had more pricks than a second-hand dart board'), but I've got a soft spot for the original. I liked it a lot, and I found playing with a guide mitigated the worst level in the game (the lasers in the mansion).

As a concept - i.e. a gangster movie set in London where you play both the police and criminals - I would like to see The Getaway revived. But what was an expensive and time consuming endeavour on PS2 would be a monstrous undertaking on PS4, let alone PS5. I think there's more chance of Rockstar or Ubisoft doing a 'GTA London' than Sony attempting it again.

Haven't bought a gaming magazine in years so not sure how they operate in today's industry.
