PostRe: Oh thank god! Boris not running for PM. Er, I mean, BioShock remaster gets official announcement

Only played the first game for about an hour. I felt like I would have liked the game a lot more and would have kept playing it if they had taken out the first person shooter parts entirely.

The world was super interesting but the gameplay turned me off, basically

I haven't played 1 or 2 for ages (haven't played Infinite at all). I loved 1 despite getting the story completely ruined for me which put me off finishing it for years but outside of Minerva's Den I don't remember 2 being that good. I might give this a look if the price is right.

Great that so many people will be able to play such a rare, expensive and difficult to find series at last.

Some of us don't like returning to old consoles for games we don't really love, and some people don't own PCs capable of playing the game at remaster like levels. Not so difficult to understand why some people will be looking forward to this release.

You own and old console but don't like the game enough to play it on there, but will buy the game anyway?

Remasters on the PC don't really have a point, not all PC gamers do it but it does get tiring in every remaster thread some have to come in to remind everyone that it's kinda 'remastered' already on PC, we all know this, but some of us don't like PC gaming.

First game is fantastic. The second game has some interesting concepts and better gameplay but I got tired of the environment. The third game has a strong start but is ultimately a strawberry floating mess, both in gameplay and story.
Rod Fergusson cut out so much stuff to get the game shipped in time for 2K's financials for that year that the game genuinely suffered.
Anyway here's my love letter to the first game -

Is it true that the PC versions are free to those who already own the game? If so, I'll be replaying them asap. I remember the first two games had some really irritating sound bugs on PC.

Take console out of storage + buy the game VS Rent the game and stick in already hooked up console.

My main hope for these remasters are that they are better optimised on pc and don't have the same issues that bioshock 1 and 2 had such as widescreen/fov problems, mouse acceleration and sensitivity/smoothing issues, v-sync issues etc. Admittedly there is a fix for said problems but it would be nice if I can just load up the games and play without any tweaking. Bioshock Infinite runs great on PC.

That was a good striptease till I spotted the penis.

If a striptease were really that convincing pre-penis I would be tempted to power through to be honest.

I'll be honest with you here. I really should have noticed something was wrong when I spotted the facial hair.
