If you were asked to justify why you love your favourite genre of video game, TV show or book and could only use one character who would you choose?

For me it would be Londo Mollari from Babylon 5.

He's a character who goes from being a bit of a joke to Emperor of an entire planet and race while having some amazing relationships with the other characters like G'Kar and Sheridan and showing true character development and depth. He has stories with real emotional impact but also can be ruthless and brutal and the acting for me is just perfect.
The overall story between him and G'Kar is truly one of the best in television with loss, hope and redemption all playing a part in a journey that lasts the full 5 years of the show and is so memorable it has stood the test for me while other characters have long since faded from me.
If someone only had time for 1 Sci-Fi TV show I'd ask them to give Babylon 5 a go as they just won't regret it.

This would the clip I'd use to back up my claim

It shows that the show has a giant story with well fleshed out universe and is one of my favourite from the series.

I always end opening topics terribly so I'll just end with
over to you.

For the videogaming section, I have to choose two... I cannot leave one of them behind in this.

> Fawkes in Fallout 3. From the moment I met him he had my back as we travelled across the post-apocalyptic wasteland. We experienced fights, we explored and we completed missions. What a journey... what a guy

> Chumbucket in Mad Max. The guy had a weird way of talking, but man he knew his way around vehicles. He ensured that everything we needed was in place as we roared across the post apocalyptic wasteland. I couldn't have completed the adventure without him

I guess there is a theme that I appear to be seeking out chaps in post-nuclear scenarios. Ho-hum.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Vivi Ornitier from FFIX basically encompasses all the major aspects of what makes fantasy RPGs interesting. Gameplay-wise he's the flashy power fantasy of just casually dropping meteors on people and story-wise his arc goes into interesting topics.

John Locke from Lost. Pretty much the only character that made the best out of the situation he was in.

Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks. A man of principle, intelligence and decency.
I started drinking coffee because of seeing him drink it (I was 10). Still drink my coffee black to this day.
