Im off to the opera tomorrow night. 'La Boheme' by Puccini. Been looking forward to it for ages. It should be wonderful. They had a special offer of half price tickets so i plumped for the best seats in the house for me and my good lady. £21.50 instead of £43. Great!

Anyone else a fan or does it leave you cold.

A little taster:

I read the play of Cyrano once and liked it.... but that's not even opera come to think of it.

I love some bits of Figaro's Wedding though.

I literally cannot get enough of Bugs Bunny's Rabbit of Seville. 'Ooh, wait til I get that wabbit,' 'What, would you want wid a wabbit? Can't you see that I'm much sweeter? I'm your little senorita!' And so on.

My boyfriend and I were in Sydney last year and of course we had to pay a visit to the Opera House. We went to see Tannhauser by Wagner. It was the first time I went to see an opera. (I had seen a movie version of Carmen on TV before). It was a very enjoyable experience.

Denster outing himself as an opera fan is akin to Alvin Flummux getting arrested for deliberately roadkilling a family of blue hedgehogs.

Ive never made a secret of my love for opera. Dont let the rugged exterior fool you. A sensitive heart - passionately stirred by the finer things in life- lurks beneath those hairy man boobs!

I would have expected a little more from you as you regularly present yourself as one of the more cultured people on GRcade... :P

Wagner can be bloody hard work. Not a huge Puccini fan, myself - Bohème is one of the classics, though, so you've got to get it in at some stage. Mozart and Rossini are where it's at.

I've never been to an opera. My mum likes them, though.
