What cracks me up so much with it is Del stood in the doorway...a perfectly framed shot, saying "they are only in there doing it, they are doing it now, pouring bleeding Maxwell House on their lamb noisettes"

superb stuff.

Oh yes, the vids just posted above. I think one of them is with Elsie Partridge the medium. The throwaway Jimmy Saville gag in that is better than anything most sitcoms can conjur up in a 10 episode series.

There are very few funny sitcoms being made (in fact very few sitcoms). Whenever I've caught a bit of My Family its all good natured programming but I'm just stunned by the awful OTT laughter track that doesn't correlate with the unfunnyness of the hammy acting. What British sitcoms are there that are funny? The Inbetweeners. Miranda. And I'm looking forward to Ricky Gervais & Warwick Davis in Life's too Short. But I don't think there is much else out there.

One foot in the grave is quite spectacular. Victor's angry rants are eye-wateringly funny.

Bravo/Gold or whatever it is called is showing every episode and special of this back to back and from the start from 8.00 tonight. Dunno if anybody has seen the advert with the characters dancing as well. Remember the frosties kid ad? It contains various moments like that.

...all this he saw, for one moment breathless and intense, vivid on the morning sky; and still, as he looked, he lived; and still, as he lived, he wondered.
