From Eurogamer:

I worry that the endless chug that Onrush wants to create - you are surrounded by cars, so many of them, absolutely all of the time - may lead, perversely, to a slight flattening of affect. When everything is exciting, is anything really that exciting?

My sentiments too - it's fun, but because it's full-on all the time I'm concerned about how much longevity it has.

That's exactly why I feel like the rush abilities or abilities in general need to be a bit more powerful, or charge more quickly. Because when you don't have them there's no real ups or downs and it also makes the heavy vehicles super good because they can easily take out every other vehicle without their rush abilities.

Still, it's far better than making one mistake and spending the rest of the race only seeing the back of one other car.

And I really respect them for trying something different and innovating. First racing game I will be buying for years.

I can't believe that Codemasters are still going. But that trailer reminded me of Pure, which I loved, so I might keep a little eye on this one.

It does look like it can be a lot of fun, but the question of longevity does push it down the 'must buy' list.

So this is the spiritual successor to Motostorm? It could be good. I'm not a fan of GT style games but prefer the more arcade accessible racer.

Check out stuff on the previous page, its not really a "racing" game per se, more like a car action game.

A Recommended from Eurogamer.

Reading the review though, OnRush isn't something that appeals to me.

I am tempted as i could see it replacing overwatch for me as something to juat dip into now and again. I'm a huge codemasters/evo studios fan and keen to support something which breaks the mold, certainly more than The Crew 2. I'll mull this over, pehaps thing about selling some stuff i'm never going to get round to and possibly order this later.

I'm intrigued by the game: I *think* I'd like it but I'm not too sure and I'd like to play a demo before splashing cash. I'll wait until I start hearing more views about the gameplay.

It’s basically Motorstorm Mondays: The Game. Will be playing it ASAP.

If the band's getting back together i'm totally down for it.

Fingers crossed. Most of us are still here. Missing one vital ingredient though.

I'm going to rent this from Boomerang and if I like it buy it (I think this will be much better with people but the single player didn't really click with me) so can join you on Mondays if you're still on when I finish work. I normally get on about 10 which I understand may be a bit late but I've let Chalky and the rest of the Sunday group know about this topic.

Ordered the Day One edition from Shopto for £40, who have dispatched it already. Motorstorm Mondays reassemble.

Dang it. Because you guys are talking so positively about the game, my attention is being drawn to it. I've watched a couple of vids and it does look fun.

Having read a few reviews, it appears that it's probably not really Motorstorm, though. Your race position (first or last) doesn't matter - it's the destruction and boost that earns the points. Apparently the game can be a little bewildering at first.

But... it does look great!

Its team-based driving for points rather than racing to win. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and go for it, hopefully we can get weekly sessions back as a thing, i even rebought a ps3 to replay the motorstom games again.
