Options for upgrading 360 HDD?

I’ve got an old 360 Elite, black with a 120GB HDD. I’m finding storage very limited now, so have started looking into the options for expanding/upgrading storage, but I can’t seem to get a definitive answer. Seems to be various methods, with USB sticks, external hard drives (no I haven’t tried one), internal hard drives, problems with getting a transfer cable, etc.

So, what’s the option(s) for doing increasing my 360’s storage?

Any of the above is viable really. You should be able to pick up 250GB old-style 260 drives for a pittance now. Otherwise, you need to think about just how much you plan on downloading and buy an external HD to match (perhaps 2TB as they seem to be pretty cheap again these days).

Ok, thanks. Can't find any new ones, and they seem to be going for about £40 on eBay. Might have to plump for that (and a transfer cable...). Thanks for the reply.

Ok, thanks for that, good to know. Definitely going to go for the second hand 250GB HDD then.
