What are the must-have original Xbox games you can't get play anywhere else? I might need to keep an eye out for them on the cheap.

Ninja Gaiden Black is a priority.

I'd hope that they'll be selling OG Xbox games digitally as well; i don't fancy being scalped for second hand copies of Crimson Skies, Otogi etc - they can't go "you can play all these original Xbox games on your Xbone, but good luck trying to find a copy!"

I wonder and hope that multiplatform stuff like Black or Burnout 2/3 will be coming as the latter would be amazing to play online in this day and age.

Really hope Gunmetal comes to this. God I loved that game.

I was excited at the idea of playing TimeSplitters online but then I remembered that Rare Replay didn't manage to breathe much life into that so I'm not hopeful for TimeSplitters or Burnout. I'd love to be wrong though.

If they really go to town on this I could easily delete a third to half of the games i emulate on PCSX2; Black, Burnout, Timesplitters, Need for Speed Underground 2 etc.

It'd be nice to see Project Gotham Racing 2 and Rallisport Challenge 2 again too.

Given the fact they've shutdown original Xbox Live I'm really interested to see just this is going to work. They've said it'll work with original Xbox discs in case anyone is wondering.

OK, I'm in

I did say earlier in the thread that if MS brought original Xbox BC I'd buy one.

Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a pre-owned One S for £100 around Xmas, and I can nab cheap Xbox/360 discs from my local CEX.

Not interested in any Xbox One titles per say, but might pick up Halo 5 and Forza Horizon 3.

Midtown Madness 3 would be interesting.

Still waiting to see PGR 3 & 4 come to the 360 BC lineup so I wouldn't hold my breath on PGR2.

I'd love to be able to play some of these games again, without having to get the old box out of the loft.

Bit weird that this got the biggest cheer of the conference but it is cool that theyre doing it, having one box capable of playing all generations is a good move. It wont be massively profitable but its a cool level of dedication theyre showing.

Speaks volumes about the quality of their new games :shifty:

Kinda wish it'd been one of those "and it's available...now!" moments though, as it's good it's announced but everyone's going to move on and then it'll limp out with no fanfare and no-one'll care.

Crazy if they didn't. They must want to get more than just console sales from this move.

I guess any game with real cars in it might be a problem.

Just from 360 BC, licensing hasn't been a major issue. Some games have even been made BC after being removed from the marketplace. I suspect there are different rules if they're simply making the same game available for different consoles.

This is really neat, especially given the lack of homebrew emulators for the original Xbox. This offering a way to play Sega exclusive games at HD resolutions would be terrific :)

By far the most exciting part of the announcement for me, the original Xbox had some great titles, not only the exclusive titles but the best versions of most third party games. I've recently been collecting a load of original Xbox games too so I'm quite glad I managed to do them before the inevitable price hike.

Hope we get a good selection and good quality emulation, it was a little patchy on the original Xbox 360 and some big games got abandoned but I believe the original Xbox is actually closer in architecture to the Xbox One than the 360 so this should hopefully make it easier.
