I had the BBC News channel on in the background a few weeks back and the interviewer was talking to some author of medieval history and the interviewer just brought up GG's ending out of nowhere. It had nothing to do with what they were talking about at all. I was furious.

Book of Life didn't get any awards. It deserved Best Animated Movie.

I have seen The Boxtrolls. It alright but it pales in comparison to The Lego Movie. Also Big Hero 6 isn't really that great.

In all, usual Oscar bullshit.

As I understand it a film has to be about 80% animated to be considered for the animation Oscar, I really don't see how The Lego Movie wouldn't qualify.

Big Hero 6 is a great film regardless of whether Lego Movie should have won in its place (it should have).
