Other than NPH inserted into Movies & Kendrick it's not been a good start.

Wanted Guardians to take that but I think it's a foregone conclusion that Budapest is walking away with just about every technical award it's up for.

Bit gooseberry fool so far. Most jokes falling flat. Happy for JK Simmons and Grand Budapest winning something, though.

Yeah, I'm not sure who wrote NPH's script but it's not really going down well. He also seems a bit over-awed by the occasion, which I'm surprised at because he hosts awards shows all the damn time.

EDIT: Loved that.

The silence is deafening whenever NPH is mingling with the crowd.

Love all the foreigners not giving a strawberry float about the play-off music and just continuing their speech.

They started the music on the one after that and then cut it right away when the woman started talking about her son who committed suicide. I chuckled, but really shouldn't have.

Visual effects: The best picture of the blockbuster films. Of those nominated, the winner was not the one I thought looked the best.

Deserved winner I thought, visual effect award shouldn't always be about CGI.

Not necessarily, but I genuinely thought Guardians was the outstanding feature of the nominated films. I'm a little biased.

I loved Feast, it had a lot of heart.

How the strawberry float the Lego Movie didn't get a nomination will forever confuse me.

Of what's in there, Kaguya or Big Hero 6 please.

Because the voters for these things are almost always 50 or above and likely wouldn't get any of the jokes in the movie.
