Overwatch

I guess it applies to most games genres... but why do First Person Shooters seem to foster such bad behaviour towards other players? I wouldn't mind trying Overwatch but I would undoubtedly be dreadful at it. The thought of team-mates then shouting abuse into my headset puts me off a bit.

FPS is nowhere near as bad as MOBA.

If a game is team vs team with a firm and obvious winner or loser, then people dont want to lose. If its a team it can feel out of your hands if you lose, so people can easily end up this hopeless well of rage.

"I played well and all of you banana splits let me down and now I have another L on the record." That sentence is more quickly typed and expressed by just saying "strawberry floating banana splits BG BG BG" "Failzo"

I might just auto-mute text and voice chat except friends/party members to make playing it something i want to do again.

I've tried Hanzo briefly in Quick Play, but I was utterly terrible with him and didn't particularly enjoy using him.
I have been trying to change up from Mei a bit more lately and start using D.Va a little more, along with Soldier 76 and Mercy. That way I'm relatively confident with at least one character in each class.

I'm utterly terrible with Reinhardt though so I'm really not the person you want playing as a proper Tank.

Got nothing to lose with the free to play weekend. Competitive brings out the worst in some people but you can always mute salty banana splits or group with players from here. There's also quick match and arcade where the players are generally more relaxed and open for friendly chat.

I find that there are still the wannabe MLG pro tryhards in quick play which I find confusing more than anything; nothing is on the line, so why get salty over losing? I find the best crowd is in the arcade modes with limited/specific heroes, but sometimes they can take a while to queue for.

Origin? If so your I'd will have a '#' and 4 didgit number after it, that's needed.

Just come out of a competitive game where a guy spent most of the match saying

"PHARAH CHANGE OR REPORT!"

Alongside "TEAM. 2-2-2. NOW. ALL OF YOU"

He then picked Symetra on maps that don't favour Symetra, and we won anyway.

What's truly bizarre about that is that Pharah is a great stomping character in lower tiers, where many folks can't aim well enough to hit her.

Plus we were playing on open, outdoor maps and it was a Capture the Objective game, so Pharah is well suited for those since enemy players tend to have to group relatively close together.
