Overwatch is a "team based multiplayer shooter," Based on the gameplay footage, it's Blizzard's version of Team Fortress 2 — Valve's still-popular 2007 team-based shooter — with highly stylized, anachronistic, anthropomorphic characters. The stages look equally diverse and the action very frenzied. In a later panel, Blizzard confirmed there'll be six players each side and maps are objective-based. There is no deathmatch mode.
Blizzard said this game is due out "sooner than you think," but it hasn't said when yet. No word yet on what platform, although Blizzcon attendees will be able to try it out on PC.
Overwatch is a reworked version of Blizzard's Titan, the long-in-development MMO that was overhauled in mid-2013 and turned into a smaller project. It looks like they've kept some of the class names (like Reaper) .

As I've said lots today. Looks interesting, if it's nothing like new TF2 it could be fine if they give all the classes set roles and times they're good/times they're bad.
Cautiously optimistic.

I'll probably have no interest in the game, as I'm gooseberry fool at TF2. However, that trailer was amazing. Would love Blizzard's CGI people to make a feature film.

Uh, I think you need more than 'abilities' and 'ultimates' for something to be considered a MOBA.
Look forward to trying this out. When did Blizzard become so hated around here?

You are right, but the game will be heavily influenced by mobas, and probably "esports" as that is what is popular at the moment. I am old now and it just is not my bag. I said in PCGT I tried the new blizzard moba, and I enjoyed it at first I guess when I was playing with all the new folks, then all of a sudden it got all serious, possibly as I hit some sort of level, and once it got serious the fun vansihed.
Most the PCGT bunch hate what TF2 became and mobas, and since this is influenced heavily by both... well that is why no one is all that excited

Also its rife with racial and sexual stereotypes, uninteresting design, uninspiring, will be loaded with micro transactions, and is a guarantee for unbalanced and child friendly play. Treading over already covered ground in an attempt to milk out some of the lucrative hat cash Valve are currently enjoying.
But yeah, its because we proper hate Blizzard.

There's reasons people dislike blizzard's free titles (I'm assuming this in f2p), all three of them appear to be simplified takes on existing successful games (magic, dota, tf2). Hearthstone was okay because the game it was aping is massively gimped or massively expensive on pc but the other two are aping massively successful games that already exist on the platform. With WoW everyone copied blizzard, now blizzard seem to be copying everyone else.

I was shocked that one of the guys from Blizzard was saying that they still have some way to go with female character design. No gooseberry fool. This is a new game and you're still making women go out into battlefields wearing swimsuits and underwear.
"I think we're clear we're in an age where gaming is for everybody. We build games for everybody. We want everybody to come and play. Increasingly people want to feel represented from all walks of life, everywhere in the world. Boys and girls—everybody. We feel indebted to do our best to honor that."
Dat ass tho

Cool story - when the sniper character puts her goggles on, her ass grows.
