I can relate to Limmy, I have a love/hate relationship with this game.

Jason Schreier from Kotaku posted an article about a Starcraft FPS using the Overwatch engine being cancelled and he said something interesting about the Overwatch sequel.

what we’ve heard about Overwatch 2 (or whatever it winds up being called) is that it’ll have a large PVE element. (A couple of Blizzard people have compared it to Left 4 Dead.)

New Patch is live too, including the ability to view replays of your games, some changes to heroes and these changes to Assault maps.
Time awarded for capturing Point A on all Assault maps has been reduced from 4 minutes to 3 minutes.
Upon losing Point A, any defenders that are dead, or that die shortly thereafter, will have a maximum respawn of 3.5 seconds.
Full patch notes here.

Think I'm ready to take another break from this for a while.
It's not really down to poor teams (though that is a part of it) but I'm just getting tired of being forced into the same roles and characters all the time. I pretty much always have to play either tank or support, and pretty much always a main one, which means I basically feel forced into playing Rein, Orisa, Mercy or Moira if I want any remote chance of a well rounded team in competitive.
Don't get me wrong, they're fun to play, but when they're all you ever play you start getting a bit sick of them.
I could go to Quick Play but,
1) Even there you get people complaining about team comp so you feel pushed into one of the above because everyone wants to be DPS
2) I like the multi-round nature of competitive compared to the single round nature of Quickplay. In QP it's basically one and done. At least with multiple rounds there's some elements of turnaround that just makes it more exciting.

I'm always confused as to why such thoroughly selfish people play team based games. You wouldn't play Sunday football, get put on defense then run up the other end of the pitch would you?
People do the equivalent of this all the time in team based games. But why? There are multiplayer shooters you can play by yourself. They choose to play a game where you have to be considerate of other people and then act like they're playing with AI.
I don't get it.

I haven't booted this up once since Blizzard took action against pro-Hong Kong streamers. Time was I would've been pretty excited about a potential Overwatch campaign with story elements too.

Yeah, I have hundreds and hundreds of hours in Overwatch but I'm pretty sour on Blizzard right now and I can't really get hyped for an expansion at all. I'm interested in seeing what they've put together, but I'm not really excited.
