The one thing you notice playing lower tiers compared to watching higher tier players - lack of awareness. Lower down everybody plays for themselves, isnt looking for healers, doesnt have that idea of when to wait or push with a team. Thats just innate for higher tier players.

I think thats why its frustrating at lower levels. You feel like you know the strategy, but as each other player is an independent actor you cant enforce the action upon them. Nobody is a saint of course, and you probably also inflate your own opinion of your strategic genius.

What I found most frustrating is people who call for me as a healer but have no intention of moving anywhere near me and when I do get to them don't stay in any one place long enough for me to heal them so I end up either dying trying to run to them or die as I'm following them and concentrating on the job of healing.

I love being called a bad healer by people who run off by themselves to the other side of the map rather than staying relatively near the main group.

Do you still mostly play Lucio? If you're the only healer on the team then Lucio is a difficult choice -- you should be spending most of the game with your Speed Aura up, switching to Healing Aura for a burst when you have Amp available. His Healing Aura does negligible healing outside of Amp, so avoid it and take the extra survivability and utility of Speed Aura.

If this isn't enough to keep your team alive then it's their own fault for leaving a Lucio to do all the healing -- you could consider switching to Ana or Mercy but let's be honest, it's really the Hanzo who should be switching. ;)

I haven't played in a while but I play as Mercy or Lucio and both have the same problem. People tend to bugger off and then find they need a healer and expect me to go to them rather than come to me while I'm healing the main group.

I play Genji sometimes but I actually don't run off.

Especially in 3 vs 3. I defend our healer with my deflect.

But maybe that's because I'm a support main so I know the struggle.

Myself and Crimson have been playing HotS pretty regularly lately, so should be available to assist with anyone (the XP gains scale with the size of your party, so the more the better).

But, like, ya gotta pull your weight. Getting destroyed is excruciating.

I love facing Nazeebo as any of my mains. Probius immediately annihilating his ball of men is great.

I'd be happy to group but my experience with the game is fairly minimal. Maybe I could just pick Lucio and stand out of the way?

Had some great games with Karl and friend last night.

This was my favourite play of the night even if it didn't get me PoTG. :D
