Doing my best to bring UK traditions to the heathens. The missus does insist on calling them crêpes (and we have to go gluten free or she'll keel over) but there's no forsaking lemon and sugar.

Having an omelette. That’s pancake-ish.

Just throw in some flour into it and you'll be fine.

I forgot to pick up some pancakes/pancake mix, but I think I have all the ingredients for making batter from scratch in the house here.
I've never done it before and I can't cook to save my life, so it's most likely going to be a disaster. Wish me luck!

Cup of flour, cup of milk, the contents of one egg, pinch of salt. Mix it all up in a bowl and you just made pancake batter.

Ill never understnad why pancake mix is a thing, it saves no time or effort, it just costs you more.

Lol, savoury pancakes can be great. Egg, cheese, paprika, tomato and even a bit of avocado.

You can't justify lemon and sugar (the best) all day surely

Mushroom stroganoff also works nicely, especially with buckwheat.

I vote we remove Gecko from office, he clearly isn't of a sound mind.

My mind is full of cheese, and this is all just a nightmare.

No pancakes for me :( and I absolutely love them. My wife is doing bloody Slimming World. She eats one, ridiculously healthy, meal and then I make some crap, if I can be arsed. I’ve been diagnosed with an over-active thyroid and cannot eat/drink enough without still losing weight. We are now opposites. Can’t be arsed to make pancakes for one, so pie and beans it is. Again...

Edit: bollocks. Just realised no point in a Valentine’s Day meal/bottle of red tomorrow and it’s Chinese New Year on Friday..... (Chinese food being well known for being low fat.....) Arrgh.....

Happy Lemon & Sugar Day guys! :toot:

Today I decided to have my lemon & sugar with pancakes. Not too much mind, don't want to ruin the lemony sugary goodness.

I like pancakes but I haven't had them for years; I have no idea how to make them and my cooking "skills" are limited to opening something up and putting it in the oven for a specific period of time.

I can take said things out of the oven and put them next to each other on a plate... that is the extent of my "chef" capabilities  .
