OK, NOW panettone time is here.

Went to get mine yesterday from M&S, and was very disappointed to see they’d sold out of the regular ones. I had to make do with the spiced caramel version, which is less of an abomination than the chocolate variety. It was either that or the nocciolato, and I don’t think hazelnuts belong either. At £7 for a full-size panettone, it’s one of the few things M&S isn’t horribly expensive for.

I saw one in TK Maxx of all places. Almost bought for my mum.

I’ve just read that Waitrose are now selling hot-cross bunettone.
