EDIT: All the "special" varieties, with chocolate etc, can get in the bin.

Panettone is one of the few cases where chocolate is the lesser choice.
I prefer the fruit variety.

The Lidl Deluxe Panettone Classico is good. Will probably be about 4 quid this year.

My favourite is cherry but it's around £15-£20 so that's not happening. Don't like the chocolate chip versions at all.

Yep, the Aldi expensive version is normally pretty decent.
I try all the shops and about £5 or £6 is about average so even getting one from all the shops won't be that expensive.
I have wanted to go to waitrose but the nearest shop to me is quite a trek and I don't normally bother.

It's all about the spekulatius for me.

If you have one near you, it's worth checking out TK Maxx for continental Christmas grub.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Maybe that's what they do on the Christmas outing?
They all go and get checked for piles.

This, got some excellent Pannetone and Stollen from there a few years ago, my mum is obsessed with the place so quite often get food and other stuff for birthdays/christmas from there.

No, it's a shop that mostly sells end of line clothing at reasonable prices.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Some of it is end of line/excess stock, most of it is made for them by companies making designer licensed items, usually lower quality than usual but cheap so people still buy it.

I bought an awesome Le Creuset teapot from TK Maxxx. It's a great pourer.

But we digress!

So do Lidl, have already bought some.

Spotted a big super expensive panettone in Fortnum & Mason today too if anyone fancies really splashing out.

A few year's ago Fenwick's in Newcastle had one the size of R2DT for a few hundred quid. Would be the ultimate show stopper on Christmas day to bring out that and a chainsaw to cut it up with.

Wish my image sig would work
