This game is stupidly easy, you really shouldn't be having these troubles so you've missed something important somewhere early on. There's an electronic manual in the game which spells things out for you if you need it.

I'll have a look. Really don't remember seeing something so must have missed it.

It makes sense as otherwise you are screwed.

Found the shop to buy more cards also found colouring stuff gets me cards.

Still hate the cards but at least I can progress now.

Not looking forward to going back for stars though.. Have only 1 star in each area so far.

I found that using cards was similar to using MP in other RPGs as you have to manage your resources to use them effectively.

Yeah, I'm starting to stop and find ways round things so I don't need to battle unless I absolutely have to add it is just a hindrance to getting on with the puzzle.

Battles aren't really that annoying. You can clear them with one card if you use the right one and paint it.

Yeah I'm getting used to the battle system now, if I have a shell type enemy card I use that against a line of enemies or use the knockout hammer.

Just beat Morton to obtain the big red paint star, getting into this more now.

Not bad, I've just rebuilt the bridge and how I can use battle spin.

Working through this now and enjoying it, it turns out the battle spin thing comes a bit after where I was so the no cards thing was an actual issue.

Anyway, I'm just about to head up Daffodil Peak in the hunt of some purple guys and a start. Roll on the end of work so I can play more :toot:

Got the first big paint start now, took two attempted to beat Morton as I did a crap job with cards and he kept getting pedestals.

Roll on the next one :D

It's very good, not massively hard at least so far only issues I've had so far is my own crap control of movement.

It's a good play a bit put it down play a bit more kind of a game.

I got hacked off with a boss fight on this so I'm giving i6 a short term rest. The card system, while flawed in some places is mostly fine and fun. However, on bosses I just hate it. You always need on special card for a boss fight, and normally you have it, but it's when you have to use it. So the fight in was in the other night needs a Cork, I know that, the game told me that, so I used it. But it wasn't at the time the fight needed it, so it's gone and now I can't win the fight. So I either have to die and get game over, or quit the game and reload. Ffs

I've only had 2 bosses so far (although one i'm only half way through) and I have taken to having a walkthrough of the battle open as I can't be arsed with the die over and over to find where the item should be used.

The fun for me is the puzzle of the level not the battles so I dont mind having a guide on doing the boss.

I think i'm going to give up on this, it's just not hooking me now. The card system is ok but I can't say i'm really loving it every time I play which is a shame as I thought I was going to love this (I really enjoyed Super Paper Mario)

Just cleared chapter 2 quite liked that boss level, quite like if you have a save box but need to stop you can leave the level and it will save and you can then go back in.

This hotel level is gooseberry fool, I've needed a guide the whole time as it makes no sense, and even then I apparently ran out of time!

Passed the hotel, half way through level 3. I'm finding some of the puzzles a little stupid if I'm honest where I just can't work it out.

Also annoyed that I used my turnip by accident (witch thing hiding my cards) so hopefully it isn't important.
