A terrible thing, if ever there was one. My last run-in, one of many in Liverpool, was when I was loading a brand new amp into my car, which was parked up alongside the guitar shop in question on the curb. Not obstructing traffic at all, yet as I lumbered out with the amp my mate was moving over from the passenger seat into the drivers. At first I was like...wtf?...but then I realised he was about to drive off because the traffic nazis were writing things down on their pads of paper.
I was told that I couldn't park there, even though the boot was open and the amp ready to go in. I was told that I had to move the car 15 metres accross the road which would entail a 5 minute drive, due to one way traffic rules in Liverpool. Despite protests of common sense, I was told this three or four times.
I managed to get the amp in and drive off before they stuck the fine on my windscreen, but only just.
The woman was worse than the bloke, who didn't say a word.
It's a 220W vintage inspired bass amp, which fits perfectly with my 1969-71 Fender Precision Bass. It has a range of sounds and with my settings fits perfectly with my band.

One of my brothers mates is a traffic warden, they have to hit a quota every day, if they don't hit the quota they basically get in a lot of trouble which is why cars that are parked legally get tickets to help them hit targets. Pathetic.
If the government had any sense they would sack every traffic warden tomorrow and use the money saved to invest in tackling youth crime and making the streets safe.
There is a town a few miles from where I live - with a lot of speed cameras/traffic wardens. The saying goes - "commit any crime in the world, and you can be guaranteed you wont get caught. As long as you don't make your getaway at more than 30mph".
