Got my best time (25:12) and finish (63rd) on the weekend which was nice! Only my 3rd parkrun so probably not too surprising, hoping to try some other courses soon.

Pacing to 25minutes yesterday. But was way too fast and got 24:43 in the end even with a big 20s slow up on the final straight.

I nearly paced at Gloucester North but last minute decided against it.

That was my 51st different parkrun. Back to my home parkrun this Saturday.

Just a home parkrun for me this weekend, just took it nice and easy. Did get my 153rd volunteer credit though.

Off to Southwick this weekend to get my South compass challenge done.

Which parkrun?- Is a GRCADE visit required?

I am still waiting for HQ to authorise me then I have to attend a 3 hour training course. From what I know it's the below in addition to also being an RD still.

- Meetings with the Event Team
- Checkin in with the ambassador for the area (met her on Sunday)
- DofE assignments
- Control of the RD Core Team
- Hosting Quarterly Meetings with the Core Team (update roster, pass on information from HQ, Feedback on recent events)
- Yearly Risk Assessments
- Training new RD's
- Helping set up new parkruns
- POC should there be any issues

Got to the big smoke the weekend just to get my V at Valentine. Going to cost me over £100 for a 23 minute run :fp:

Ive really cut down on my tourism - a 2hr+ round trip for a 25min run is hardly justifiable. At the moment im turning up to my local parkruns 30ish min early and extending my run to 10k.

It was a long day, had to get up at 5:30am to get there on time. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for the letter I needed.

Got my best time of the year at Hove Promenade last Saturday. 22:14, could have done sub 22 but was feeling sick unfortunately.

Did my first parkrun today, awful slow time but I guess I've got to start somewhere. Was fun-ish. I prefer complete solitude when hauling my corpse around any exercise course outdoors so I wasn't a massive fan of the communal nature of it ('remember you're only running against yourself' my husband said as 150 people set off to do the exact same run) but I guess you get used to it.

Did Wollaton Hall near Nottingham this morning, was an out and back with a small loop round a lake. Absolutely lovely parkrun but hillier than I was hoping for as was looking to see if I could go under 25 minutes for the 1st time this year.

I think out and backs are my favourite parkrun type.

You do get used to it and we pride ourselves that its a run and not a race (although try telling that to the fast uns). You get the support at parkrun I feel no other race has and you genuinely don’t feel like you are holding people up and everyone claps and cheers everyone on.

Did a fairly new parkrun on the weekend, Wolford Wood parkrun, was extremely boggy like running through marshlands, hard on the legs and feet.

I did Philips parkrun today. The new one near Manchester Citys stadium. All tarmac, undulating with some tough uphill sections. Fairly well laid out too. Big tourist turn out today - only the 10th time its been run. Im glad ive got all the parkruns within the M60 done again. I got a good time too - I kind of went for it, but its a bit short on my strava.

Did Blaise Castle today, was only event number 2. Took it easy as I have a half tomorrow.
