Ah you've already done my local one. I need to get back to it again. Tough when the weather's miserable though

What's your local one?

Victoria Dock was good, nice to travel in via cable car looking at the start line from the skies. A flat course which has had a change over the past few weeks going from 2 out and backs to 3. Weird cross over of runners into the finish funnel but a good course overall. 21:37 was my time which is good considering I am still suffering fatigue.

Nice easy run last weekend with my running group. Was nice to go to parkrun and not worry about a time. Will be doing the same this weekend too.

Also completed my 200th Volunteer event :toot:

Tried to do a quick one at Newent but after a xmas night out, dead legs and -3 temperatures it ended up being slower than expected. First place came 22:30 minutes and I recon on a good day I could of had him!

27:00 for me today, it felt like it should have been faster. If everything goes well, a couple of milestones for me next week.

21:15 this morning at Aberbeeg, no injuries, no hangover, no fatigue just enjoyable running! Nearly took 3rd place, regular knew where the finish was and sprinted past me and by the time I had realise where we were it was too late.

Amazing, well done!

Over the Xmas Period I reached 173 parkruns, 210 volunteers and 77 different parkruns.

Did Salisbury in 21:34 which I was pleased with as I was wearing the wrong running shoes (Hybrid Trails instead of Road).
Also did Five Arches but on the way to a race so was a slow run at 29:24.

Do all park runs take photos? I went a few times to my local one but what put me off going again in the end was that they take and upload about 300 photos each week to the facebook page, including from the start and finish, and I don't want to have my photo taken when I'm running, so I stopped going.

No most parkruns don't. We have a photographer that regularly comes to ours and if you ask him he will remove pictures. I guess a good way to check is look at the future roster of the parkrun you want to go to and see if they have a photographer volunteer assigned.

Thumbs down if you don't want your photo taken is usually the way but that won't get seen in all situations

Cool, thanks. I don't think that would work with the number of runners. I might try out going to a further afield park run then and see how they do it. I think it's the sheer quantity - if they took pics after the finish line for people who wanted them that would make sense but hundreds during the run itself is a bit intrusive.

My two most local ones were iced off today. I gambled on one of them. I could have driven to the next closest and sarted 10min late but decided against it. A bit miffed ive lost out on a parkrun credit now
