You can pre-purchase it on GMG for something like £23 with the discount code P65PW6-F9B91D-TW2AG2

I pre-ordered it at GMG for £22.50 a while back. I hope that GMG doesn't wait until launch day to send out keys. I want to start playing this as soon as possible so that it doesn't clash too much with Bayonetta.

If you vote in the Golden Joystick Awards, you should be sent a coupon which gives you 30% off this making it £21.

I dunno if i will get this day one or not, I mean I love Civ5 and really want to try this but I am afraid that it is not my "kind of Civ"

This video really got me excited about the game's imminent release. It's only ten minutes long so it's worth watching to get a brief overview of the game. It does seem similar to Civ V in some ways, not least through the trade routes.

The thing I am liking the most is the aliens are not barbarians so you just leave them alone and they seem to do the same for you.

Yep, it's annoying having barbarians plunder your trade routes, steal your workers or just pillage your tiles. I guess that I should have a standing army to defend my civilization :slol:

I think it is the art style that isn't doing it for me, don't really like the look of the new units, especially the boats.

What can I say, it's my biggest gripe with ArmA3 too.

I think I have the brain problems.

I'm waiting for my GMG key. Hopefully it won't be sent on release day as I'd like to play a bit of this on Thursday night after the Smash Direct.

Getting married on Saturday and going on honeymoon for 2 weeks so I think I'll treat myself to this as a wedding present when I get back. Would've bought day 1 otherwise. Currently playing a Civ 5 game as America and just ended a war that Rome and France started. They offered me a city each to declare peace but after annexing them, I have 15 total unhappiness and my people are rioting. Love Civ so much. I don't even care about winning. It's all about the journey.

This unlocks in about 11 hours but you can start playing it from 5pm if you use a VPN to change your IP address to one from zone one (Auckland, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore or Mumbai). Here's a handy map of when the game unlocks around the world:

http://www.civilization.com/en/news/2014-10-soundtrack-included-with-beyond-earth-purchase/

You'll be pleased to know that the soundtrack has been included with the game, free of charge.

Also, congratulations to Tragic Magic!

Congrats Tragic.

And DD you can post about VPNs all you want. Guarantee when I launch it I'll get messages asking me how I'm playing it. Happens everytime.
