After opening up the PC and resetting the CMOS and unplugging some cables and plugging them back on again, I now get no picture when I boot it up. The MSI light is lit on the graphics card but I get no picture. I've tried the cables again but still get no picture. In trying to solve the issue I've strawberry floated it up even more. :fp: :x :(

does your mobo have a direct picture out?

I.E can you skip the graphics card?

This post is exempt from the No Context Thread.

It's a fully modular Corsair RM550.

It could be a faulty modular cable. If you have ordered the same unit replace all the cables with the new ones. I have had a similar issue a few years ago where one of the cables failed.

That's what I intend do as I've probably knocked some cables elsewhere which has led to me getting no picture.

The new PSU has been installed and I've just booted it up. I have a picture. :toot: Now to see if it reboots itself. :dread:

How's it going? It's been a couple of hours. This was a highly exciting thread to read - I binged it too, like a netflix special.

I love me a happy ending..... I hope :simper:

It was fine for over an hour, but then I shut down and then rebooted it a minute later and it rebooted it itself within about a minute. :x It's been off since then so I'm going to see how it goes tonight.

It's still doing it. :x :(

I think I'm just going to cut my losses and build a new one.

Can you unplug the case power button from the motherboard after it's started up and make sure that's not causing it?

Given how cramped it is inside the case trying to unplug it without knocking anything else out probably won't be the easiest job in the world.

Ordered everything I need for my new build which will be arriving over the next two days. At least I managed to get my current one working for a bit so I could back up everything I had no way of recovering, so it's not as bad as it could have been.
