Dont stop believing. Meanwhile, ill just play them on my PC. Which is in my house, right now.

PC won E3 this year and didnt even have a conference

Which big exclusives are coming to PC over the next year?

By the way I'm not testing or calling anyone out here, I'm genuinely interested in switching after this week's shitfest.

Not so much exclusives as "anything the consoles do, done better." With the exception of all the amazing games on the Wii U that involve looking away from the TV for extended periods of time. Immersion.

I was big into PC gaming in the mid-late 90s when there were so many big exclusives (Half-Life, Quake series, C7C, Dark Reign, Monkey Island, Tie Fighter, System Shock, Dark Forces etc...).

Not sure I want to pay £300+ to get the same console games with better graphics. For those willing to fork out £900+ though Watch_Dogs and Star Wars 1313 look amazing if they come out this year.

It's kind of a tricky question. I mean, the PC still has a shitload of exclusive titles but they're mostly fairly niche titles that publishers don't make a big deal about. The people that like them are going to buy them regardless. The new Sim City is probably the biggest exclusive I've seen for a while, being the only PC only game announced at the E3 press conferences. Then there's Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, Company of Heroes II (consoles still can't really do the RTS genre justice), Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2 and so on and so forth.

There really are a lot of unique games on the platform though. Legend of Grimrock and Diablo III have been the last two games I've been playing for instance, and good luck finding those on a console! I'm aware that the latter may get a console release eventually mind.

Even the multiformat stuff is often better than the console versions though. Not always of course, due to some shoddy porting, but at the very least you can usually expect much better graphics.

StarCraft 2 is something I can see myself getting into, is there a way to play Koreans? Or are they on different servers?

PC is still king for some entire genres too: strategy and worldbuilding especially. Sim City and Company of Heroes 2 are going to be massive, and games like Tropico and Anno 2070 simply wouldn't work on console. Them's some fine pieces of gaming to be missing out on.

The mod scene is also hugely underrated amongst console gamers. I can't imagine going back to vanilla Skyrim these days. Whatever would I do without my flying boat-house, my awesome cape or tophat wearing mudcrabs? And Day Z...well imagine the newly announced Zombie U in a completely freeform consistent online world. For (mostly) free!

I used my 360 a whole load when I couldn't get at a PC. As soon as I could, well...the former may as well be a Skybox now.

Oh yeah. The Anno games are lovely, although I'm pretty sure Tropico 3 had a 360 release. Not 4 though.

Speaking of mods, Minecraft on a PC is practically a different game to the 360 version. There are no limits to the size of the world (other than a very high ceiling), dedicated servers like the PCS one and a whole plethora of mods that do incredible things.

Wow, really? Well, consider me told. Bet it's not half as good though.

You don't have to do any of that media centre stuff if you don't want to, Brer. You can even set your consoles to boot straight into games.

You moved away from consoles because you're a graphics whore.

Civ Rev (not Civ 4) was meant to be a good game in its own right though, and I think they made the right choice to make something suited to the platform instead of an unwieldy port.

That said, I have fond memories of playing Civ 2 on the PS1, which was actually feature complete as far as I know. It also filled an entire memory card's worth of save slots and ground to a snails pace late in the game, but it was ace anyway.

I tried for 10 minutes to find an alphabetical list of game related videos on the new dash the other day. Couldn't find it. Hate.

The dashboard is horrific. I've stopped browsing for and buying arcade games since the change. I hope everyone else has done the same and they actually notice and change it back, but I can't see that happening.

So realistically how much would it cost to get a rig to run something like that?

A GTX680 is going to cost me around £400 to start with.
