Does that mean I'll finally be able to CTRL-Scrollwheel to increase the text size?

Does the Xbox One controller work hassle-free with most games now then as long as they originally had 360 pad support? Might pick one up.

AFAIK, Microsoft still hasn't added the Xbone drivers to Windows by default, you still have to manually download them, although they're a piece of piss to find them via Google. I personally think it's a definite downgrade over the 360 controller; the Xbone controller makes my hands cramp for some reason. I've never experienced my hands cramping so badly with any other controller.

Either way, 360 controller is still the preferred of the two for PC games in terms of what-shows-up-on-the-screen (although there isn't a lot of difference in terms of buttons, the only real feature they've added that a PC game might use is rumbling triggers, but nobody's used it yet), although there's a rather nifty third party driver for the DualShock 4 that allows you to use the touchpad as a trackpad for mouse control in menus and stuff, in addition to letting it emulate a 360 pad, which is neat.

I'm also sticking with the 360 pad for my PC. My brother has an Xbone and I find the controller really uncomfortable.

I remember being disappointed with the XBO controller when I first picked it up, but I popped into GAME earlier and had a little mess with it and for whatever reason it just felt right to me this time. I probably looked a right nob just standing there testing how each button felt though. The only thing I'm not fussed on is the bumper changes, they seem to be taller than the 360's and it feels awkward.

I'll probably end up saving £25 in the end and get the 360 one. The changes seem minimal and I'm used to it after owning a 360 for almost 7 years.

It isn't wireless either is it? So your are better off using the 360 one.

It automatically downloads the drivers when you plug it in, you don't have to do it manually. The d-pad is significantly better than the 360 one as well and it doesn't have a big bump on the back for the batteries.

D-pad is a fair point, but the battery thing is a non-issue for a wired 360 pad.

 how do they strawberry float up clipping detection for something like that?

Also just bought a Windows 8.1 tablet, I love the fact that it's basically a genuine PC but is it ever finicky! what's that you want to create a new folder? Nope sorry you took to long, I'll just close that menu for you. :x

I will try installing steam and seeing how some lower end games work on it, I imagine it should run things like Peggle just fine.

So, CliffyB's new game now has a trailer. It's essentially Unreal Tournament, which makes the spectre of a future Unreal Tournament that's going to be released for free a bit of a problem. Well, at least they're further along than UT4.

I'm using a Logitech G400 which works well, though I wish that I bought the G500 because it has an extra button on the side. Why are you discounting the G500? I'd recommend the G400S or G500S because they're predecessor, at least the last time I checked, are quite pricey.

Yea those are ugly as sin. I mean The normal g400/g500's look okay. The shape is to high for my preference though. I'd either get another intellimouse explorer 3.0 or a Zowie EC2 Evo.
