The team was sort of keen on Early Access for a time, but thankfully he managed to steer everyone off that path and just go for the normal preorder route instead. If you're not a simulation or a sandbox, very hard to make it work. Example being Nuclear Throne - I'm kind of tired of the game now and just want it to be complete.

I agree with you on early access. I backed Wasteland 2, and I have access to the Alpha, but I'm not playing it until 1.0 is out.

I remember when I got Teleglitch and thought it was a beta for literally no reason at all apart from "I bought this on Desura". Strange times.

Pretty much what I do with early access. I'll play an hour or so and maybe some short bursts with new updates but I don't truly bother until the thing is finished.

Minecraft being the exception of course.

Has it added anything decent? I don't think I'll play it til it's either finished or damn close. The early access build they released last month was more or less unplayable.

Reading that preview I thought it all sounded a bit SOF, so wasnt surprised when they mentioned the ghoul system as an influence. Probably still the best gore system around.
