It's just that such monitors are quite rare, and I've not seen him mention owning one.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I should have bought Eldritch sooner.

I switched off Vsync earlier when running FurMark and forgot to turn it back on. Booted up the new episode of The Walking Dead and the capacitor whine from my card is LOUD.

Thing was doing 700fps in-game.

I had that on my old card. Was maddening.

Well, it's silenced by enabling Vsync, so it's not that bad, but even the adaptive Vsync option isn't ideal. I want a Gsync monitor so bad.

Gsync is going to be amazing.

So started Transformers War for Cybertron since you all said it's good.

While Megatron is a brilliantly hilarious boss - is Ammo mean to be this scarce, or am I doing something wrong?

It can be fairly scarce. You're supposed to switch up your weapons and transform to use your vehicle mode weapon. Plus melee as well.
If you hunt around a bit though you shouldn't be all that short of ammo. Unless you're an absolutely gooseberry fool shot.

I really enjoyed Transformers, but found I died a lot more in it than I expected. I'll play something like Gears Of War on normal, and maybe die once or twice in the campaign towards the end, but in transformers I was dieing right from the off.

I'm probably just gooseberry fool though.

Just about to start Dark Souls on the PC. :o

Okay so I'm using the dsfix but I seem to have terrible jaggies as you can see in the below pictures:

I'll have another play with the dsfix settings but I'd really appreciate if someone could let me know the optimal setting to use as I'm not super savvy like you guys. If it helps, I have i5 4670K, 8GB RAM, GTX 770.

Yep, done that thanks but, as above, I don't seem to have edited the settings quite right. Doesn't look as good as other pics I've seen in the high res thread.

Just noticed the water round his feet in the first picture. Is it supposed to look like that?

Huh, is it normal to have 10 estus flasks? I'm almost positive that you were only give 5 at the start when I played it on 360.

The max amount starts at 10 then it gradually goes down to 5 with use

The bonfire at Firelink Shrine is already upgraded to give you 10 flasks whereas all the others in the world give you 5 until you upgrade them.

Post the contents of your dsfix file here and we can try to help.

Oh yes! I'd forgotten about upgrading the bonfires!

This is how I currently have dsfix set up, thank you:

# "HBAO" = Horizon-Based Ambient Occlusion
# "SCAO" = VSSAO + HBAO
# "VSSAO2" = Volumetric SSAO with more samples (tweaked by Asmodean)

# 0 = no change from default (DoF pyramid starts at 512x360)
# 540 = DoF pyramid starts at 960x540
# 810 = DoF pyramid starts at 1440x810
# 1080 = DoF pyramid starts at 1920x1080
# 2160 = DoF pyramid starts at 3840x2160

############# Framerate

# Enable variable framerate (up to 60)
# NOTE:
# - this requires in-memory modification of game code, and may get you banned from GFWL
# - there may be unintended side-effects in terms of gameplay
# - you need a very powerful system (especially CPU) in order to maintain 60 FPS
# - in some instances, collision detection may fail. Avoid sliding down ladders

# 1 = unlock the frame rate
unlockFPS 0

# FPS limit, only used with unlocked framerate
# do not set this much higher than 60, this will lead to various issues with the engine
FPSlimit 60

# FPS threshold
# DSfix will dynamically disable AA if your framerate drops below this value
# and re-enable it once it has normalized (with a bit of hysteresis thresholding)
FPSthreshold 28

############# Filtering

# texture filtering override
# 0 = no change
# 1 = enable some bilinear filtering (use only if you need it!)
# 2 = full AF override (may degrade performance)

The game does look fantastic but, as you can see in my screenshots, the AA seems lacking. I also got some bad slow down walking up the grassy hill from Firelink Shrine.

Amazing game though, loving it all over again.
