Right, so earlier today, I *ahem* Downloaded a Keygen for UltraMon (The multiple monitor software).
However it contained a Trojan that installed a Bogus Spyware scanner (lol irony) onto my system.
It was called ContraViro.
And it also killed my Windows Security Center, disabled everything.
After googling it on my old mans PC, I found a program to remove the offending program (It tried charging for an 'uninstall key' if I tried to uninstall it using old-fashioned methods).
Now, it's all gone and destroyed.
However my Windows Security Center is still strawberry floated up.
I can't start the Firewall, Spyware scanner or anything.
If I Click the Red Shield in my taskbar and press "Turn on" it comes up with an error message that states:
"The Security Center Service can't be started
Windows Defender can't open, stating the error:
Error Found: Code 0x80070422.
So... uh wtf mon.
I've not got alot of stuff on this hard drive, so Formatting is an easy option if I can't be arsed faffing around with this.
